Magic words that are giving endless delight to one, now properly wanded, fairy! Oh, the magic of being three…!
The handle was fairy painted, and all fabrics and material carefully chosen by little fingers. Amy Butler fabric from (one) of my scrap boxes, ribbon bits, and “the beautifullest” beads. The star is stiffened with two layers of batting and plastic needle point canvas, and ribbons sewn in at the points. The handle is fitted into the star and tacky glued. I left edges rough and loose which I love…it looks so childlike and fun. (Plus there were two very interested little pairs of hands that wanted a piece of the action!!)
This is one happy fairy!

What fabulous pictures. I especially like the one of her in her boots going up the steps. Great blog, love the tips, love the photos, am sure to keep checking.
I know you posted this a while ago but I just wanted to let you know. This post has totally inspired to try this project. I just made a fairy skirt for my niece and this will go perfectly with it!
